need help finding cheap supplies for wedding invitations?
im planning on making my own wedding invitations but i really dont know where to start. ive been searching online trying to get ideas but im getting no where. i need some help trying to figure what type of paper i need to make my invitations and where can i find the appropriate paper for the cheapest and best prices. PLEASE HELP. im only getting started on my wedding and i already feel so overwhelmed…
brunettegurl52695, what makes you think that invitations are only $100? obviously, you don’t have any clue about how much weddings cost these days (averaging $25000). invitations, envelopes, response cards, response card envelopes, and receptions card for 300 people run at $600 for simple ones, and for more classy ones run as high as $1000. maybe you should check your facts before you go around bad mouthing everyone that is looking for a little advice.
I am printing out my own invitations and it’s really easy! I bought an invitation kit from the stationary section at Staples (they also have them at Office Max). It includes a sheet for the invitation, a reply card, an envelope for the reply card and a big envelope to put it all in. The reply card is one-sided if that makes a difference. They even include a sheet of paper that gives you hints about wording and how to print out your invitation. The kit included 50 sets of invitations, reply cards, reply envelopes and big envelopes along with 2 test sheets all for only $30. You can get invitations printed for you but often you have to buy a minimum number of invitations; often 100 minimum. I have seen invitations that cost as little as $100 for 50 printed invitations and reply cards so just do an internet search and see what you find. Weddings don’t have to be as expensive as you describe and you don’t need things like place cards. People can sit where they want and most people think that is perfectly acceptable. Maybe one reason you’re so stressed is because you’re worried about having the “perfect” wedding and getting everything just right. Just do what you want. There are lots of ways to cut corners and cut the stress. My fiance and I are having our reception at a restaurant and get a private room for up to 80 people for only $1500 which includes feeding them all. This restaurant has some of the best food in the area too. We can decorate it any way we want and get to use the room for 4 hours. It just takes a little searching to find deals like that.
